Bay Saint Louis, MS - the 100 Men Hall presents a community event on Friday, September 22, 2023 from 6PM to 8PM that is open to the general public - TAKE ME TO CHURCH! Come hear the acclaimed St. Rose Gospel Choir on the historical stage with a performance by dance theater Mississippi. 

Special guest star Peter Greenberg, Travel Editor for CBS, will join the choir on stage! CBS camera crews will be here to film all this goodness!

The 100 Men Hall will take YOU TO CHURCH! with Big Bertha's Catering and Kitchen's soul food for purchase, while the choir nourishes your soul and dance theater Mississippi presents a feast for your eyes! There will be a cash/credit bar. 

St. Rose de Lima Gospel Choir - Considered the best Southern Gospel choir in the region, the St. Rose de Lima choir is a Bay Saint Louis institution. The choir has been featured in the gospel tent at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival.

dance theater Mississippi (dtMS) has performed across the Gulf Coast making its Mississippi debut with Katrina Cottage, a performance that galvanized what it meant to be from a region shattered by natural forces while energized by hope. In February, 2023 they performed in the 100 Men Hall creating a moveable feast of movement, spoken word, and art in honor or Richmond Barthé and the Harlem Renaissance. Other performances include Keepers of the Light, In My Father’s House, and A Shadow of Things to Come.

Big Bertha - soul food for purchase by Big Bertha’s Catering and Kitchen. Bertha began cooking at four years old and knew at 18 years of age that food was her passion. Bertha and her family owned a full-service restaurant in Slidell, and seven years ago she came to Bay Saint Louis to start her own catering company, Big Bertha’s Kitchen and Catering. Her specialty is soul food, which is why flavor is her main ingredient. Big Bertha is a member of the 100 WOMEN DBA.
