Benjamin Davis and Jamie Sandifer
DAY 214 Benjamin Davis and Jamie Sandifer photographed exclusively for the 100 Men Hall People Project (100MHPP).
Jamie - I was raised on blues and rockabilly. My dad was friends with a lot of the musicians on the board. Back in the day musicians didn’t have instruments and they would make their own. You feel more when you make your own instruments. I’ve never been to the Hall but we were driving down the street and Ben said I think there is a Blues Hall around here, and he looked at the Blues app and we were right by it. It was calling to him.
Benjamin – I played the saxophone back in the day. I always wanted to play a guitar but I had never picked up one, and so I found this cigar box and a piece of a dresser and I made this guitar, plus I like the sound of a slide.
