About the Artist: Albert Cooper was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA.  Attended Xavier University of Louisiana, where he studied Fine Art under John Scott. He remained in New Orleans for over 20 years where he was an active member of the Arts community as a business owner and advocate for Artists.  He now resides on the Gulf Coast of Mississippi.

Cooper has exhibited extensively with works in several public and private collections across the country.
Cooper's work covers various social and political issues, challenging perceptions and reinforcing relationships. His work is meant to be a long term conversation with its viewer(s). It slowly reveals itself over time; the more you engage, the more you learn. As in our daily lives, if we take the time to engage and converse with one another, we become enlightened and educated, rather than passing judgment based on uninformed and preconceived ideas.
