DAY 052 John E. Bezou, Sr. photographed exclusively for the 100 Men Hall People Project (100MHPP).
First time I knew about the Hall, we played here when it was a VFW hall in 1982. I was in Pat Murphy’s band and we were hired by his Carnival organization – Kinski – it was a spoof on Mardi Gras krewes. In Bay Saint Louis, when we were growing up, all our lives there were places like this around. Some were homes, some were shacks and not shacks. The Hall was always here. There was a mechanic shop across the streets and there was a turnstile. We used to play on the tracks.
